Why does CodeMash Need Sponsors?

This event is being offered at a nominal charge to interested professionals. However, an event like this is not cheap to organize. There are charges for food, facilities, promotion & equipment. As a sponsor, you'll help to offset these costs, and in exchange, get great exposure to a group of passionate, motivated professionals.

What's the Story Around CodeMash 2010's Attendees?

CodeMash 2010 continued the conference's string of exceptional success. The conference sold out its 750 seats in an incredible 32 days. (We sold out so quickly that one of the conference organizers dyed his hair the same color as our logo) Attendees came from 28 states and several different countries, and represented nearly 300 companies.

The majority of attendees (80%) identified themselves as developers; however, managers, testers, architects, and DB professionals were also represented -- and many attendees acknowledge wearing more than one hat at work. CodeMash attendees are highly experienced IT professionals who are empowered to make or influence decisions at their companies. Nearly one-third of our attendees in 2010 had five to ten years' experience, and another third had ten to 15 years! Almost 100% of our attendees either influence or outright decide IT related purchases and strategies for their companies.

CodeMash's mission is to bring together folks from differing domains, platforms, and languages -- and we clearly succeeded! Nearly 90% of our attendees said they're paid to work in some form of .NET. Nearly 50% of our attendees are working in or exploring Java with a similar number dealing with Ruby. Python and PHP developers were strongly represented as well.

What Was Some of the Buzz Around CodeMash 2010?

CodeMash 2010 was by far our most successful conference! We generated a huge amount of interest and buzz throughout the blogosphere and Twitterverse.

From Twitter:

"@nathanblevins in a given year, Codemash is my only "must go" event with Codestock and devLink being close."
- Michael Eaton on Twitter

"Codemash: A Big Bag of Awesome http://post.ly/JesI"
- Scott Sparkman on Twitter

From Blogs:

"I came out of CodeMash with a whole list of things to hack on and ... keep me invigorated until next year"
- Ken Robertson

"CodeMash 2010 was without a doubt the best developer event I have ever attended…. I still cannot believe this event only cost $175. It takes a lot of time and effort to put on this kind of event. (Seriously, drop the not-for-profit, double the price, and take this show on the road. It sucks having to wait until next year to attend again :)"
