In order to attend CodeMash you will need to buy a ticket and register. A fully registered attendee will have access to all sessions and events during the days of their ticket. Their ticket will also include meals during those days. There are a total of 1,600 attendee tickets for CodeMash. This is due to the space and food constraints.
Registration for Alumni opened on 10/22/2013 at 3:05PM EDT. The rest of the tickets will go on sale to the general public at 3:05PM EDT on 10/29/2013. Registration will close on 12/31/2013 at noon EDT. In the past, all tickets have sold out in minutes. We broke Eventbrite one year because of the flood.

There are several ticket types for attendees. The first is the base ticket. This includes the Thursday and Friday of the conference. Any base ticket can be upgraded to include (either at time of purchase, or any time before the event) the PreCompiler days. There are two PreCompiler days. You can upgrade by adding just Wednesday, or by adding Tuesday and Wednesday. A PreCompiler day is a series of workshops that are either half day to whole day in length, and focus on hands on learning with industry leaders. The PreCompiler workshops will be announced and posted to the sessions section of the CodeMash website.
Speakers, staff, volunteers, and attendee tickets from sponsorship will receive special codes to register with. If you haven’t received your special code by 11/15/2013 please contact email@example.com.
Pricing & Purchasing
Due to demand and load on the ticketing system, we are limiting each purchase transaction to a single attendee ticket. You must pay through the Eventbrite ticketing system, where we use PayPal as our credit card processing system. Please be prepared for this with a credit card that is not blocked or limited by your bank for use at PayPal. We will not be processing PO’s or invoices at this time.
Conference Only – Thursday and Friday: $260
Conference + Single Precompiler – Wednesday through Friday: $380
Conference + Double Precompiler – Tuesday through Friday: $520
Please remember that you're on tap for your own hotel arrangements. That said, we encourage you to book your room at the Kalahari Lodge. You'll get an amazing rate (starting at $88 plus tax per night), you'll be right on the conference venue location, and you'll be helping us ensure we meet our contractual minimums for room nights. Contact the Kalahari at 1-877-KALAHARI (1-877-525-2427) and be certain to request the CodeMash conference discount. We have outlined all of your hotel room options here.
You can find directions to the Kalahari Lodge here. If you are flying, please contact us to see if we can help get you from the Cleveland airport to the Kalahari.
The check-in desk will be open in the conference area of the Kalahari during all event hours, as well as Monday evening (7 January), starting around 5pm, for those checking in for the Tuesday PreCompiler. You can always check-in the evening before your event ticket starts to avoid the morning rush, and to join in on the evening’s activities.
If you registered for it, the Precompiler Day 1 starts on Tuesday,7 January at 8:30am, with Precompiler Day 2 starting on Wednesday, 8 January at 8:30am. The pre-event Day 0 panel discussion for all attendees will happen on 10 January at 7pm in the main dining room. Details on this panel are still being ironed out, so stay tuned to the Google Group and CodeMash homepage. The CodeMash keynote and session schedule will commence on Thursday, 9 January, at 8:30am. We'll have a breakfast buffet ready shortly before that. For the latest session details, be sure to check out www.CodeMash.org!
Unavoidable events happen and we understand that. You can cancel your registration at any time up to the day of the event; however, registration fees for the event are refundable only if you cancel at least 30 days prior to the event. After that no refunds are returned.
IMPORTANT: You must handle hotel cancellations separately through the Kalahari (or whichever hotel you made arrangements with). We can’t help you with that! Losing out on CodeMash would be a really awful thing, so we're happy to offer a Send A Geek In My Place policy. You can send somebody to CodeMash in your place if something's preventing you from attending. You can make those changes on the EventBrite website. Instructions for asking for a refund are here.
Sending a Geek in my Place
Things happen. You need to send someone using your hard earned ticket. We understand. Please follow these instructions here to change the name on your ticket. It is allowed to sell someone your ticket, but only at face value. We are not responsible or liable for any third-party ticket sales.
